PirBOX-LITE is an open-source, compact, low-power LoRa-based PIR motion sensor built for long-range applications like mailboxes, basements, underground garages/parkings, and remote sheds. It’s the improved and more affordable successor to the MailBox-Guard project.

Seamless integration with Home Assistant over MQTT using the Gateway ensures easy setup and reliable operation. Perfect for areas where Wi-Fi or Zigbee coverage is unreliable or unavailable.

Note: This product is not recommended for small distances or high-traffic areas. Zigbee motion sensors are more suitable for those environments.

Requirements (sold separately):

• LoRa Gateway: CapiBridge
• Programmer: UNIProg or any 3.3V UPDI Programmer
• 1S 250mAh or smaller LiPo Battery (PH2.0 connector, max size 35×20×4mm)

Ideal for smart home enthusiasts and tinkerers looking for reliable motion detection in long-range scenarios.

Please note that this device requires manual configuration, compiling, and reflashing of the firmware using Arduino IDE and UPDI programmer. It's not a plug-and-play device. If you're not comfortable with these steps, this product might not be suitable for you.
